C4 Youth Ministry exists to connect students to God, to others, to ministry, and to the world.

Ministry Philosophy:

Connect to God:  Growing In their relationship with God through an encounter with Jesus Christ.

  • Knowing God through a relationship with Christ

  • Clear understanding of what worship is

  • Coming together as a Body

Connect to Others: Live in biblical community with other Christians.

  • Discipleship

    • Parents are to be the primary Disciples of their home. (Deuteronomy 6)

    • Our Hope is to reinforce what they are learning at home but if not we will step up and fill the gap

  • Connecting with Godly Adults

  • Knowing how to live life as a believer

Connect to Ministry: Know and use their spiritual gifts in service.

  • Serving as part of the Body

  • Understanding that they have value because they are the church

  • Serving along side other Godly Adults

  • Since of Belonging

  • Leadership

  • Student ownership

Connect to the World:  Live on mission in Centralia and around the world

 C4 Youth Ministry Parent Letter

I would like to start off this letter by thanking you for entrusting and partnering with First Baptist Church of Centralia in discipleship of your youth aged students.  Showing students how to live devoted lives to Christ is something we take seriously.  To help us in we have 16 adult youth workers who are going to make this possible.

We have a few new things coming to C4 Youth this year.  One of those things is that we will have separate Middle School and High School Youth Nights through the School Year.  On August 29th we will have a combined youth service. Beginning September 5th, 2018 - December 12th, 2018 on Wednesday nights from 6pm-7:30pm.  The 6th grade is included in our middle school this year.  The high school youth will meet on Sundays 5:30pm-7pm.

We are implementing a new check-in and check-out policy. This is for the SAFETY of your Students. Students will check in when they get here like usual but this year we need to have a new check out process. If your student is a walker, bus rider, driver or getting picked up, they need to have this in writing so our leaders know. If they must leave early for any reason, they will need a note from a parent or guardian with a phone number for confirmation and still check out on our new system. If they are a bus rider a Bus Rider Form must be filled out.

We have a couple after school programs for both high school and middle school students.  For Middle School we have something called Make it Count.  This is a bible discovery time, missions building, and a help out time for things around the church.  For High School, we have Make It Happen.  This time is devoted to leadership development time and a set up for our services.  Both happen from 3:30pm-5pm on Wednesday after-school.

As a reminder, dinner is provided on a donation basis, suggested $2.00 per child per meal, and $3.00 per adult, cap at $10 per family.  Please remember to bring money so we can keep this ministry going on Wednesday nights.  Dinner happens from 5:00pm - 5:45pm.

  • Must Be A Safe Place (physically, emotionally, Spiritually)

  • No talking while others are talking.

  • No PDA

  • You are not allowed to leave without parent permission and you must check out.

  • Respect others and their property

  • If you need to talk or are upset find an adult leader and go talk.

  • Remember why we are here. To Grow Closer To Jesus.

Three Strike Rule: 1. Talk with Student 2. Talk with student, Call home, warning that next time will be a time away from group.  3. Time away determined by Scott Westfall and Parents.
