If you have not been to our Wednesday night dinners, you have really missed out. We provide dinner every Wednesday during the school year to help make sure the Team Kids, youth and the adult teachers of these groups have a nice meal. We also have many others who come just to enjoy the fellowship and food.  As we plan for this fall, please prayerfully consider helping us on the cooking teams. We currently have 5 teams that cook on a rotating basis. If we had a few more teams, you would only cook every couple of months. Yes, it is a challenge to feed 120 to 160 people each week but it is a great ministry to be involved in.  We hope you can join us!

Prayer Circle:         Everyone is welcome! What is intercessory prayer?    It is praying on the behalf of others. All Christians have the Holy Spirit in their hearts and just as Jesus intercedes for us in accordance with God’s will, we are to intercede for one another.  (Romans 8:26-27) Prayer Circle meets on Sunday evening at 5:30 in the conference room at the top of the ramp.   It’s meant as a time of intercessory prayer for our church, it’s staff, it’s members, it’s activities and actions.  Anyone who wants to come pray is welcome.  You do not have to pray openly, but if you would like to, please feel free to do so.  If you are unable to attend, please set a time apart to pray for God’s guidance for our church each week.   Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.”

Operation Christmas Child :  An inventory has been done!  We have a great start!  Thank you for your wonderful response!  We fill boxes for boys and girls, ages 2-4, 5-9, 10-14.  Here’s what we still need to meet our goal of 400 boxes: T-shirts, underwear (especially boys), socks; soap, washcloths, toothbrushes; Small drinking cups; Toys like balls, cars or trucks, jump ropes, marbles, small dolls, stuffed animals; Plastic shoe boxes (Packs of 10 for $8 have been found at Walmart.); School supplies (On sale in July and August) Remember—Watch for sales and clearances.   No candy, war toys, glass, toothpaste or liquids!  Something to consider:  Some have expressed interest in making something for our boxes.  In the past we did dresses, string bags, and shorts.  Putting together mending or simple sewing kits is a possibility.  If you have an interest in participating, please let Chuck or Rita Burton know and we can get that organized.
