Who is eligible to apply for the FBC Scholarship?

The scholarship is reserved for current and active members of FBC. Because funds are limited each

year, priority is given to those who are actively participating in the life of the church. Additional

unused funds may support other educational opportunities within the church community.

Can I still apply if I previously attended FBC but no longer do?

Unfortunately, no. Only current, active members are eligible for scholarship

consideration due to the need to distribute limited funds equitably.

Can I apply for the scholarship every year I’m in college?

The scholarship is a one‑time award per person. If you apply and do not receive the scholarship,

you may strengthen your application and apply again the following year.

Does the scholarship have to be used for tuition?

Yes. Funds are intended exclusively for tuition and will be paid directly to the institution you

designate.

What if I was active in another church before moving here?

Welcome to our FBC family! Please note your prior church involvement in Question 6 of the

application and use the additional application questions to tell us more about your participation

there.

How can I strengthen my application?

• Attend regularly and be involved in worship, ministries, or service teams.

• Be specific and detailed when describing your involvement.

✅ 2. Share Your Church Involvement History

• Describe responsibilities, service roles, youth group involvement, mission work, or leadership.

• Explain how that experience shapes your faith and commitment today.

✅ 3. Provide Thoughtful, Reflective Answers

• Write thorough, reflective responses.

• Share specific examples of growth, service, and ways you contribute to the church

community.

• Let your personality and faith journey come through clearly.

✅ 4. Demonstrate Commitment to Growing Your Faith

• Clearly articulate your spiritual goals and how this scholarship would support your plans.

• Show responsibility and intentionality about your faith.
